Mission Statement

The Moreno Valley Educators Association is an organization of over 1660 education professionals, which serves as a powerful voice communicating the needs of educators and students to the District, parents, and community in order to establish a positive school environment and build quality educational programs. The Association will continue to protect the rights of educators, and thereby students, by promoting equity and human rights.
The Moreno Valley Educators Association represents the teachers, nurses, psychologists, speech-language pathologists, and guidance counselors of the Moreno Valley Unified School District. Affiliated with the California Teachers Association and the National Education Association, MVEA has been representing Moreno Valley Educators since 1991.

ADVOCACY

MVEA is your partner in advocacy. Our passion and work is rooted in unionism. We advocate to improve the working conditions of educators within the Moreno Valley Unified School District. We ensure that our members are treated fairly by improving their wages, benefits, working conditions, and empower them to have a say over their profession.

PROFESSIONALISM

MVEA is a leader in promoting professional development. We have partnered with CTA/NEA and the District to offer professional development opportunities for our members. Members of MVEA are able to take advantage of professional growth opportunities outside of MVUSD that can be
applied directly to the classroom.

SOCIAL JUSTICE

MVEA  defends the rights of members while fighting for the rights and needs of our students and the broader community. The interests of educators are best served by defending public education, while simultaneously working to transform it. We firmly believe that we must tackle social issues that impact our students and community to truly create change in public education.
